Tips for using Library

Juhee Kang

There are some days that you do not want to go back to home right after the class, and you have no special appointment, no enough money and no plan to do something. When I feel like that, I usually go to Ewha central library. Though just few people visit there except for exam period, there are two good places to spend time. They are quiet and cozy.

1.     B1 Ewha Coop Lounge
Small Ewha coop is located in B1. Tuna sandwich (2500won) and roasted egg (350won) are very good. I recommend the lounge in front of Ewha coop. The best place is big sofa with a table. Sofa is larger than a student’s body, so you can stretch straightly and take a nap. I usually play with smartphone or laptop in there. However, you cannot charge electronic devices lying in sofa, so please charge it before you come there. In exam period, many people use there because they can take nap, eat food and study in there. There are only 8 sofas in there, so you need to go there fast.

2.     1st floor Audiovisual room
Ewha audiovisual room has lots of DVD, not only movies but also documentaries and academic resources. You can borrow any DVDs with your ID card, with no money. There are computers for one person, sofa for two people, and room for six people to see DVD. Among them, I strongly recommend sofa for two people. It has high quality TV, sofa is very cozy and room is quite dark, good for watching movie. Students from other universities can enter and enjoy movie together after get allowance from library; It is not very hard, just ask librarian. Ewha audiovisual room buys most of popular movie’s right after DVDs are released, so you can see many recent movies.

Ewha central library is always opened to students! Never hesitate to visit there and have nice time without spending lots of money.
